Environ AVST Range

Based in Byron Bay I am the first to promote inner beauty and the attitude of love yourself silly regardless of your outer appearance. But life can sometimes be a little superficial and it may ask you to brush up on your appearance with the aid of beauty products and enhancements. Lately I have been calling to the aid of my beauty products more often then I would like. Life has thrown a few curveballs and I have been receiving more than my fair share of breakouts. Particularly around the chin and the jaw line which after hours of research and consultations with professionals is due to hormone imbalance which has been triggered by stress. Whenever I seem to be going through a tough time emotionally this is my bodies way of reminding me to slow down and stress less.

This is easier said than done with our busy lives, but each day I am taking a moment to do the little things that are going to contribute to my nervous system chilling out such as; yoga, exercise, more sleep, less alcohol and more healthy food. But as a I do the things to nurture my insides I know I need to take notice of the products I am putting on the outside. So I spoke to my beautician and she recommended Environ. For a long time I have been using cheap face scrubs that have always felt quite harsh for my skin. I was informed that after the age of 25 it is actually bad for your skin to use a facial scrub everyday as it scratches the skin surface and washes away all the good oil leaving the skin to produce more oil than it needs to. My beautician quickly detoured my skin care regime and now I am using the Environ AVST range, which includes a cleanser, hydrating exfoliant masque (without harsh scratching beads) and moisturizer.

I must admit that I was a little hesitant as I was unsure how the cleanser was going to clean my skin without the use of any chemicals, detergents or scrubs. See the environ range specializes in remaining as natural as possible with no preservatives or harsh chemicals.

But to my surprise as I use my cleanser to wash away my make-up everyday, I found that there wasn’t a spec left on my face. And I am not left with that tight, dry feeling we are sometimes left with after washing our face with some cleansers.

The moisturizer, which is probably my favourite product so far, starts at AVST 1 moisturiser and works up to AVST 5 moisturiser. The AVST 1 moisturiser, which I am still on now, has the lowest concentration of Vitamin A, C and antioxidants which include vitamins E, vitamin C, Green Tea Extract, Honeybush and Rooibos Tea Extracts, Resveratrol and Beta-Carotene. The concentration of vitamins A and C increase in the step-up system of the moisturisers.

This moisturizer doesn’t leave me feeling oily and smelly like some I have used before. There is no artificial fragrance and as I tend to have oily skin around my t-zone it doesn’t make me produce more oil in this area. In fact my skin is left to feel soft, rejuvenated and clean.

Every couple of days I use the hydrating exfoliant masque as directed by my beautician. Environ recommends that you either apply and sleep in it then wash it off in the morning or rub it into the skin at night and as you rub it activates then wash it off straight away.

Above all I love knowing that I am using a product on my skin, which is good for my skin and me. It is protecting my skin from aging and replenishing my skin from the daily harsh toxins of the outside world. Now that I have tried this range I will happily make my way through to AVST 5 moisturiser and through the other Environ products.

The Environ AVST range is formulated particularly for the international market as Environ is from South Africa and this AVST range is not available for sale in Africa.

The environ website is host to an abundance of information on skin care and ageing. One particular page worth checking out is the information on the different stages of skin development and the skin care regime you should be using.
